Important Notices
Because our Twitter handles are public and anyone with a Twitter account can engage with us, we cannot be responsible for views expressed other than our own.
Please note that we may unfollow a user who dramatically changes their mission and objectives, or who we feel violates our community policy.
Bank of America has a presence in various social media/social networking outlets and may occasionally identify and respond to customers seeking assistance with banking-related issues. In the event a customer receives such a communication from the bank regarding a service request or other need, the customer may be offered other Bank of America channels to help address those concerns as smoothly and effectively as possible.
Interacting with Us on Twitter
Our Twitter handles are managed and monitored by Bank of America. We’re actively watching what people are saying to and about Bank of America on Twitter to ensure we're receiving and/or offering feedback. However, because of the public nature of the platform, we simply can’t respond to or engage on all issues.
Never disclose any financial information on Twitter. Bank of America will never ask you for your Social Security number, account information, passwords or PINs via Twitter. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of Twitter. Please review Twitter's policies here.
In addition, we recommend against and, in fact, discourage clicking on links posted by other Twitter users, as these links may pose risks to your computer or take you to inappropriate sites. Also, we don’t accept or consider unsolicited ideas. However, if you do send us ideas which we’ve solicited, what you submit will be governed by our Idea Submission Policy and Terms.
Please don’t use Twitter to report phishing or criminal activity. Suspicious emails should be forwarded to abuse@bankofamerica.com. If you would like to make a report, please call 800.432.1000 and a representative can assist you.

@BofA_Help (for customer service)

We’re happy to be able to service our customers in this way. However, there are limits to what we can discuss in a public forum like Twitter. If you have a question about a personal account or other confidential matter, we may request that you send us a direct message through Twitter with your name and phone number. Short URLs from Bank of America
Periodically, Bank of America associates need to send links to various resources on the web. Given the character limitations on social media sites like Twitter, we may occasionally give out a "short" URL from one of our short domains (go.bofa.com and go.ml.com) that redirects to the full site. These links work just like any other url shortener with one important difference. When you click on one of the Bank of America branded short urls, you can trust that the web site it is taking you to is safe and that it is coming from us.
Shortened URLs from Bank of America representatives will always be from one of the domains below. When you see these you know that the information is safe and is coming from Bank of America.
- go.bofa.com (example: go.bofa.com/6bmq)
- go.ml.com
If you see short urls purporting to be from us that do not include one of the above short domains, we recommend that you do not click on the link, as it may be malicious. If you are suspicious of the link, we ask that you send it to us at abuse@bankofamerica.com.
